class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before users can move on to creating a supplier remittance in Sage 50 Cloud Accounts, the user must know what remittance advice is supposed a supplier is providing some goods or services to a customer. The supplier will also create an <a href=\"https:\/\/askforaccounting.com\/sage\/sage-50-invoice-issues\/\">invoice<\/a> that details the goods or services that the supplier had provided to the customer, and the supplier is also responsible for requesting the <a href=\"https:\/\/askforaccounting.com\/sage\/sage-mobile-payments-help-support-number\/\">payment<\/a> in return through this invoice as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The remittance advice provides proof that the customer has successfully made the payment to the supplier for the goods or services that they took from the supplier in the first place. It may seem redundant to people, but the supplier remittance advice provides an additional layer of clarity and security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The phrase \u201c<strong>remit a payment<\/strong>\u201d signifies the fact that the payment has been sent back to where it came from. The remittance advice provides clear evidence of the fact that a payment has either been made or is in the process of being made by the payee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The business supplier remittance advice includes the following details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Names of the payer and payee name and their contact details<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How the payment was made, the date of the payment, and the amount that was paid<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/askforaccounting.com\/sage\/import-invoices-into-sage-50\/\">Invoice<\/a> date, invoice number, and amount paid by invoice number (or payroll period)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Amount of any credit issued with identifying credit number(s) and expected receipt date (if not immediate).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tips_to_Create_a_Supplier_Remittance_in_Sage_50_Cloud_Accounts\"><\/span>Tips to Create a Supplier Remittance in Sage 50 Cloud Accounts<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Through Sage 50 Cloud Accounts, users can set up the automatic generation of supplier remittances every time the user adds a supplier payment. Users who do not prefer this option can also create a remittance for the payments that the user will choose themselves. That being noted, users are required to set their desired preferences in the Sage 50 Cloud Accounts application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Following_are_the_Steps_to_Set_Desired_Preferences_in_the_Sage_50_Cloud_Accounts_application\"><\/span>Following are the Steps to Set Desired Preferences in the Sage 50 Cloud Accounts application<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The first thing go to \u2018<strong>Settings<\/strong>\u2019 and then select the option titled \u2018<strong>Bank Defaults<\/strong>\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The next thing that the user needs to do is that they need to enter their preferences in the menu that will be in front of them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the user wishes to have a remittance generated automatically every time a supplier payment is posted, then the user must set the setting to \u2018<strong>Always Create Remittance<\/strong>\u2019 by selecting the relevant check box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After making the appropriate selection, the user can simply press \u2018<strong>OK<\/strong>\u2019, and their preferences will have been saved by the Sage 50 Cloud Accounts application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After the user has successfully updated their preferences regarding the generation of the remittances, the user can then move on to creating a remittance in Sage 50 Cloud Accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Following_are_the_steps_to_Create_a_Remittance_in_Sage_50_Cloud_Accounts\"><\/span>Following are the steps to Create a Remittance in Sage 50 Cloud Accounts<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The first thing that the user needs to do if they wish to set their desired preferences in the Sage 50 Cloud Accounts application is that the user must click on \u2018<strong>Bank Accounts<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the bank account through which the user wishes to pay their dues to the supplier.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After selecting the <strong>appropriate bank account<\/strong>, the next step that the user must complete is that they must click on \u2018<strong>Supplier Payment<\/strong>\u2019. Alternatively, the user can click on the \u2018<strong>Payments<\/strong>\u2019 drop-down, and then select \u2018Supplier Payment\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now, the user is required to enter the supplier payment details as the user has them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the user has set their preference to generate supplier remittances for the payments that they choose themselves, then the user has to press \u2018<strong>Create Remittance<\/strong>\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finally, the user can press the \u2018<strong>Save<\/strong>\u2019 button, followed by clicking the \u2018<strong>Close<\/strong>\u2019 button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After completing the aforementioned steps, the user will have successfully generated a remittance. If the user wishes to view this remittance that they just generated, then the user will have to navigate to the \u2018Bank Accounts section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>View this Remittance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the \u2018<strong>Bank Accounts<\/strong>\u2019 section, the user will further select the \u2018<strong>Remittances<\/strong>\u2019 option. If the user is unable to locate the \u2018Remittances\u2019 option in the \u2018Bank Accounts\u2019 section, then the user can also find it in the \u2018Payments\u2019 drop-down menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tips_to_Print_or_Reprint_a_Supplier_Remittance_in_Sage_50_Cloud_Accounts-_Invoice_Payments\"><\/span>Tips to Print or Reprint a Supplier Remittance in Sage 50 Cloud Accounts- Invoice, Payments<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Users can print a supplier remittance from an invoice, or users can also print or reprint a supplier remittance from a payment that they have made. Furthermore, the users can also print remittance advice from a purchase payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Following_are_the_steps_to_print_a_supplier_remittance_from_an_invoice\"><\/span>Following are the steps to print a supplier remittance from an invoice<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The first thing goes to \u2018<strong>Purchases<\/strong>\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Users must look for the option titled \u2018<strong>Purchase Invoices<\/strong>\u2019, and click on it when they locate it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now the user will see a list of their invoices. These routes are\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The first route that the user can choose to follow is that within the \u2018<strong>Supplier Payment<\/strong>\u2019 tab, the user can enter the details of the payment as normal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The second route that the user can choose to follow is that the user can click on the \u2018<strong>Customer Refund<\/strong>\u2019 tab, and then enter the details of the refund as normal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now, the user will be able to see a button titled \u2018<strong>Save<\/strong>\u2019, with a downward pointing arrow next to it. The user needs to click on this arrow, and then they will be able to see an option to either \u2018<strong>Print remittance<\/strong>\u2019 or \u2018<strong>Email remittance<\/strong>\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The remittance advice will open on the user\u2019s screen in a new window. Following are the steps that users must follow if they wish to email their supplier remittances through Sage 50 Cloud Accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The first thing goes to \u2018<strong>Bank Accounts<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then user is required to select the option titled \u2018<strong>Remittances<\/strong>\u2019.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If the user is unable to find the \u2018Remittances\u2019 option in the \u2018Bank Accounts\u2019 section, then it means the user is using the software in Windowed mode.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If that is the case, then the user can find the \u2018Remittances\u2019 option in the \u2018<strong>Payments<\/strong>\u2019 drop-down menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The next thing that the user must do is that the user needs to click the remittances that they wish to email.
