With Sage 50, you can transfer money in just a few minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Increased precision during fund transfers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fraud risk is reduced.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transaction processing time and cost are kept to a minimum.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Payments are made with fewer errors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"steps-to-sage-50-eft-integration-setup\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Steps_to_Sage_50_EFT_Integration_Setup\"><\/span>Steps to Sage 50 EFT Integration Setup<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This Sage 50 electronic fund transfer (EFT) system is quick and easy to use, and it allows you to send and receive money from almost any bank in the world. By following the steps outlined below, you can easily set up and use Sage 50 EFT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"step-1-enter-details-about-your-company\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_1_Enter_Details_About_Your_Company\"><\/span>Step 1: <span style=\"font-size: inherit; background-color: initial;\">Enter Details About Your Company<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/askforaccounting.com\/sage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Sage-eft-Preliminary-Setup.jpg\" alt=\"Sage eft Preliminary Setup\" class=\"wp-image-108846\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to <strong>Start<\/strong>, then <strong>Programs<\/strong>, and then <strong>Sage 50 electronic fund transfer<\/strong> direct in Windows.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The New Company window will appear automatically <strong>if you are using Sage 50 EFT Direct for the first time<\/strong>. Fill out all of the required information under &#8216;<strong>Enter Details About Your Company<\/strong>.&#8217; These are some of them.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Several identifications<\/strong>: Enter the 10-digit EFT transaction number from your bank.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Working Directory<\/strong>: This is where you&#8217;ll put your EFT data files. Enter the location of your Sage 50 data files in the Directory field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Name of Sage 50 File<\/strong>: Choose the file that contains your Sage 50 data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable File<\/strong>: Enter the name of the file that Sage 50 EFT Direct should use to store data for sending to your bank.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"step-2-enter-bank-account-information\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_2_Enter_Bank_Account_Information\"><\/span>Step 2: Enter Bank Account Information<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Now proceed to the next section to <strong>enter your bank account information<\/strong>. Fill in all of the information on the screen by clicking the EFT button. This includes the following.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/askforaccounting.com\/sage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/sage-eft-payment-processing.jpg\" alt=\"sage eft payment processing\" class=\"wp-image-108847\" style=\"width:473px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Returns Institution Number<\/strong>: Enter the institution number provided by your bank. Returns Account No. : Enter the account number to which you want the funds to be transferred due to account closure or information that has been mistyped.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Data Center Number<\/strong>: This is the data center number that your bank has given you. This information is not required by all banks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Organizational Reserved Fields<\/strong>: Fill in the number provided by your bank.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Element Identification<\/strong>: The CPA standard is the only one that uses this field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Code of Settlement<\/strong>: Put the settlement code in here. This is not required by all banks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Accounts Payable and Receivable Transaction Code<\/strong>: Either enter a standard value or a custom value. Accept the code displayed on-screen or enter the CPA transaction code.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"step-3-employee-vendor-or-customer-record\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_3_Employee_Vendor_or_Customer_Record\"><\/span>Step 3: Employee,&nbsp;Vendor,&nbsp;or&nbsp;Customer&nbsp;Record<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click <strong>Close<\/strong> and return to the <strong>New Company<\/strong>, you&#8217;ve finished entering all of the information screens.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To <strong>save<\/strong> your entries, click <strong>Add<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sage 50 EFT Direct will automatically import your customer, employee, and vendor information after you&#8217;ve entered your bank information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add all of the necessary information to the employee (customer or vendor) tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Employee Maintenance<\/strong> is the option to choose. Select an employee and then <strong>press<\/strong> the Modify button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill in the bank account information and the accounts into which you want to <strong>deposit<\/strong> your paychecks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set the <strong>employee&#8217;s Direct Deposit status<\/strong> to Active by checking the box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To add an amount to this line in the file you&#8217;ll send to the client, check the Active box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To <strong>save<\/strong> your entries, click <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"step-4-payroll-section\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_4_%E2%80%93_Payroll_Section\"><\/span>Step 4 &#8211; Payroll Section<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/askforaccounting.com\/sage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/sage-eft-payroll.png\" alt=\"sage eft payroll\" class=\"wp-image-108848\" style=\"width:466px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to the next section after you&#8217;ve finished entering the information &#8220;Using sage 50 as an EFT &#8220;and make a file that you can send to your bank.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>EFT Direct Payroll Generation<\/strong> from the file generation menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill in the information regarding pay periods and dates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To determine when funds should be deposited into your <strong>employees<\/strong>&#8216; <strong>accounts<\/strong>, choose either &#8220;<strong>Use employee check dates<\/strong>&#8221; or &#8220;<strong>Use default funds available date<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To begin extracting <strong>payroll data<\/strong> from Sage 50, click <strong>Continue<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now, in Sage 50 EFT Direct, go to the Payroll Selection screen and fill in all of the required information.
