Follow below instructions to fix issue..

Total Time: 25 minutes

1️⃣ Check for the Monitor files:

🔹 If you have any active windows then minimize it and click on the Startup button.
🔹 Press CTRL+R and a run dialogue box will open. Now search for the .msc file.
🔹 Locate for the service.msc file from the list of files and click open it. Here you will be able to see QuickbooksDB25 and QBCFMonitor.
🔹 These are the services files, thus you would need to restart them.
🔹 The way you can do that is by right clicking on the file, one at a time and choosing properties tab.
🔹 From the drop down option that appears, select on the automatic tab and hit start.
🔹 You would be required to do the same with the other file as well.

2️⃣ Set up Permissions for the Folder:

🔹 In order to do that, choose the folder or file that you want to share.
🔹 Right click on it and choose on the properties tab.
🔹 Select on the sharing button and check mark the radio button alongside “Share this folder”.
🔹 Now select the securities options and you will see the permissions tab. Choose to select the permission for the folder.

3️⃣ Give a Name to Your Server:

🔹 For this you would need to right click on the My-Computer tab and choose for the properties tab.
🔹 Here the name of the computer will be displayed.

4️⃣ Check with a Different Computer:

🔹 From a different PC, login to your QuickBooks account and from the top navigation bar click on the restore the company and choose on the open company.
🔹 The new window that appears, search for server name and once appear, click on it and press enter.
🔹 Now locate for the shared folder and click open it. Here you will see your QB company file.
🔹 Once the file is located, then check mark on the multi user mode and choose the open file button.
🔹 And it should now open up and your error must be fixed.
